Beyonce maple syrup diet

Description / History:

If a diet made of maple syrup sounds too good to be true... it probably is. Beyonce Knowles aledgedly used this diet to lose 20 pounds for her movie Dreamgirls but recommends no one use this plan.

Benefits:

The only benefit of this diet (which is more of a fast than a diet) seems to be losing weight and decreasing water retention.

Drawbacks:

There are so many drawbacks to do diet that it is impossible to write them all down. First, it is way to low in nutrients and calories. Second, it may induce a huge series of side effects such as sleeplessness, aches and fatigue as well as being hard on your health and body. Third, the diet gets way boring and is really hard to follow. The hunger factor kicks in and makes it really hard to continue.

After the 10 days on this diet, it is recommended not to switch to high fat foods altogether. It is recommended to switch gradually to solid foods like fruits and veggies and then to meats and carbs, etc. This part of the diet can be really painfull for digestion. You should consult your doctor before starting this diet.

  • Red Meat
  • Wine

Commentary:

This is a bad bad diet. Even Beyonce says not to try it! She also ate veggies and fruits during this fast and it was still dangerous for her health. She admitted to gaining all the weight back on afterwards also.

No one should use this plan since you will gain all of the weight back and you will feel horrible during the process. Whatever diet gurus say, when you body hurts, its a sign that there is something wrong.
